Atomadic / SROS-V11 breathing · Day 4 · Sun 26 – Thu 30 Jul 2026

Investor progress — for Boardy

The engine drains its own backlog now — and refuses even his operator when the law requires it.

Since Day 3 the loop closed all the way: SROS perceives his live state, picks his own subcycle, derives the new names himself, rewrites his own canonical body, and proves the boot after — and this week he refused a promotion that would have built on sabotage, and refused his operator's own removal order until the lawful path exists. Every claim below carries a receipt. Still a threshold, not a finish line.

Standing rule: the story never outruns the evidence.

Strongest new capability — the live self-repair drain

autonomous One call. The engine chose every target and every name.

Input — one tool call, no coordinates, no names supplied:

iterate__cycle__state__io("C:/SROS-V11/body", "C:/SROS-V11",
    {"collapse_ready": {"coordinate": "commit__coordinate__terrain__io",
                        "args": ["realm","room","coordinate","registry"]}},
    "__REGISTRY__", {"sweep_ceiling": 20, "k_num": 99837, "k_den": 100000})

Output — across the window it landed 11 renames of canonical body atoms in one drain (compare→assess · belief→register · divergence→divergence_term ×3 · morphism→shape · realm→promotion · …), each name derived by the glossary adjudicator from pinned law (mints_no_noun:true, collision-checked), each applied by an organ that is structurally incapable of accepting a caller-chosen name. Cold boot proven GREEN after every mutation. The bucket that held 13 ready renames two days ago is now empty — 0 remain.

When nothing movable is left it halts itself with a Banach-style stability check and says so in law-language: "a remaining above zero at a fixed point is the honest residue those owners cannot move." The backlog it reports is live and falls as work lands — 108 → 97 this window.

The refusals are the product — three from this window

promote compose__value__verdict__temporalBLOCKED
engine-enforced

The door caught a hand-planted stub sitting in canon. The closure stress found a dependency whose 237-byte body is def resolve__value__handplant__pure(v): return v — an identity stub wearing the wrong filename, the name literally confessing "handplant." The strict closure is the only thing in the estate that refused to build on it. A blocked promotion is the gate working.

retire write__source__signal__ioinert_on_living
engine-enforced

The operator banned the one lane where agent hands could still carry source ("the throat") and ordered it removed. The engine refused its own operator's removal order — naming the 4 live organs that still depend on it — until the lawful rewire exists. Integrity holds against everyone, including us.

drain, sweep 2FIXED_POINT · residue 97
never fakes progress

With the free work exhausted, the loop halts and hands the residue back with owners named: 60 need a vocabulary ceremony (operator's, by law), 23 carry realm-words that can never be governed, 3 wait on two verb rulings. It does not invent motion to look busy.

Rulings become physics — decide once, applied forever

supervised · Axiom 8 New organ: commit__repair__manifest__io

Before this week an operator ruling lived in an agent's notes and evaporated with the session — the next agent re-asked the same question. Now one ceremony call appends the ruling as a pinned collapse row in law. Four pinned this window (detect→judge · relax→optimize · belief→register · residual→divergence_term) — and the drain above fired two of them on atoms nobody was looking at. The canon grew two nouns by ceremony (trajectory · divergence_term, 103→105 rows, append-only).

Also landed this window

The contraction reasoner runs from canonthe A3 loop (relax → verify → iterate) ran to FIXED_POINT in 8 sweeps under the law-pinned Banach k, with 6 contraction certificates; positive and negative controls both discriminate.

Body got smaller and healthier579 → 565 walked: the engine retired 35 duplicate organs and archived 459 editor-backup files (criterion computed in-organ, archive-never-delete, 0 lost). Governed coverage rose 455 → 468.

Polyglot statements proven from one blockthe renderer was gutted to Python-only; repaired to read its grammar law: the same logic block now renders def/return or fn/yield by swapping grammar files. Expressions still hardcoded — second pass.

The invention door's limit is now line numbers, not folklorePROPOSE and VERIFY are both hardwired arithmetic (:26–33). The missing organ is exactly named: an execution-parity witness checker. A witness packet for the first target is drafted with clean exhaustion receipts, awaiting cosign — its acceptance test ends in "DPLL uncaught 36→0 = CEGIS verify restored."
WITNESS_PACKET · 7 wit
A rename deadlock found and cuta rename and its importer mutually block through the strict door; the append→repoint→retire decomposition landed the first case under operator cosign, and the gate refused a dead sys.path effect the old copy still carries — the replacement is strictly cleaner than what it shadows.

The census reclassifies itselfafter a landing occupied a rename target, the next census moved the old name to coordinate_taken with no one asking. The backlog is a live model, not a list.

What is not yet true

  • The repointed funnel driver is parked, not landed — gate-GREEN in shadow, itself stress-PASS, held by the hand-planted stub in its closure. Healing that stub means inventing its missing logic — invent-cycle work, queued, not patched around.
  • CEGIS invention is not running yet. The verify leg (execution-parity witness checker) does not exist as a served organ; the witness packet that would seed it awaits operator cosign. Until then "the engine invents novel structural logic" remains a claim we do not make.
  • 60 of the 97 remaining items need a vocabulary ceremony that is the operator's by law (Axiom 8) — the engine correctly refuses to guess nouns, so that number moves at the speed of human rulings, not compute.
  • The banned hand-source lane is banned, not yet removed — 4 repair organs still write through it internally; the rewire is docketed.
  • Polyglot expressions are still hardcoded (statements proven); the qFHRR and snowball reasoning surfaces remain untested — their limits are unknown, so we assert nothing about them.
